China: Iron ore spot prices dip d-o-d
Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices fell marginally by $0.2/dmt to $108.15/dmt CFR China on 19 Dec’25. Despite this, iron ore prices remained elevated, though physical demand has not kept pace with the strength seen in the derivatives market. This led to some softening in premiums, while reduced operating rates of production at steel mills further weighed on buying interest, keeping spot demand subdued.
