BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that when Tarique Rahman returns to Dhaka from London, he will be given a reception that no leader has ever received in the past. At a discussion meeting on Sunday (December 14) afternoon, he informed about the party’s preparations to mark the end of Tarique Rahman’s exile after 18 years.
He said, ‘I want to express my deep gratitude to Allah that after 18 years, our leader will appear among us on December 25, Insha Allah. This is a matter of great inspiration for us.’ He also said, ‘Let us give him a reception on the 25th that no leader in Bangladesh has ever received in the past. We are all ready, Insha Allah.’
Regarding Tarique Rahman’s return to the country, Mirza Fakhrul said, ‘We received this news with great concern. On the one hand, our national leader Begum Khaleda Zia is admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.
