BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said that no party has any policy, ideal plan, only tablets are sold in the name of religion. And BNP has a detailed plan for the socio-economic development of the people. He made these comments at a program titled ‘BNP’s plan for building the country’ organized at the Krishibid Institute auditorium in Khamarbari in the capital on Monday (December 8) morning.
Salahuddin Ahmed said, we do not want to sell religious tablets. We want to inform the people what is the right plan for the welfare of the people. He also mentioned that the people should be informed about BNP’s plan in simple language. The BNP leader said, those who want to go to heaven without working hard should know where to go to the bus station. The people understand this. If we do not plan in advance in running the state, then we are planning to fail ourselves.
He further said that the people have already recognized the party which has no policy, no plan and is only planning to cheat the people by selling tablets in the name of religion and their face has been exposed. Highlighting the historical role of BNP, Salahuddin said, Bangladesh means BNP, another name for democracy is BNP.
He claimed that Ziaur Rahman paved the way for the re-introduction of multi-party democracy from the declaration of independence to the Fifth Amendment. The anti-dictatorship movement in 1990, the parliamentary system in 1991 and the caretaker government in 1996, all these are the contributions of BNP. At the event, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that Jamaat is misleading the people by doing business in the name of religion.
Today is the second day of BNP’s seven-day program. Through this program, BNP will know the opinion of the people about the future of Bangladesh. In light of which the party’s election manifesto will be prepared. BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the second session. He will join the program virtually. The seven-day event was inaugurated yesterday. ‘BNP’s plan for nation building’ will end on December 13.
