BBC Director General Tim Davey and News Chief Deborah Turns resign
BBC Director General Tim Davey and News Chief Deborah Turns have resigned amid criticism over the editing of Donald Trump’s speech.
The British media has been accused of biased reporting on several issues, including Gaza. Tim and Dobra have also issued statements admitting mistakes. Tensions have flared over the issue after a former BBC adviser accused the BBC of bias.
In addition, another British media outlet, the Telegraph, has published a BBC document. It is reported that the BBC used parts of Trump’s speech in the Panorama documentary. The documentary was broadcast a week before the election last year. After the editing of the speech, it was found that Trump told everyone to go to Capitol Hill and said that he would join the fight there.
