BNP united to restore people’s rights

A courtyard meeting was held in the ‘A’ unit of West Baklia ward number 17 of Chittagong-9 constituency. The ward BNP organized the meeting last Tuesday afternoon. The meeting was organized with the determination to implement the 31-point state structure reform presented by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
Ward number 17 ‘A’ unit BNP president Nur Nabi Mia presided over the meeting and General Secretary Md. Tayyab moderated it. BNP Central Executive Committee member Shamsul Alam was the chief guest.
He said that restoring people’s voting rights and ensuring livelihoods is the BNP’s commitment. BNP is the people’s party – this party does not compromise. Everyone should work for the sake of the rice, stay united, then only change will come.
Former Chittagong Metropolitan BNP deputy office secretary Khorshed Alam, former Firingibazar Ward number 33 BNP president Md. Akhter Khan, former commissioner and general secretary of ward no. 18 Abu Tayyab, former president of ward no. 17 BNP Md. Sekandar and leaders of various local units were present.
Leaders of Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal and Chhatra Dal also participated in the meeting. Baklia Thana Jubo Dal’s Md. Raihan, Ashraf, Jahangir Alam Joni, Sifatur Rahman were present; Swechchhasebak Dal convener SM Bablu, member secretary Md. Faruk; Chhatra Dal’s Abu Mohsin Emon, Abid, Jihad and many others were present.
The speakers said that BNP has only one goal – the liberation of the people and the restoration of democracy. Not personal differences, now is the time for unity. At the end of the meeting, the leaders and activists present pledged to take forward the ‘country reform movement’ by implementing Tarique Rahman’s 31-point plan.
