40 A. League leaders and activists detained in the capital during preparations for a sudden procession
Police have detained 40 leaders and activists of the banned Awami League and its affiliates during preparations for a sudden procession in the capital.
They were detained in front of the Pani Bhaban in Panthapath at 2 pm today, Wednesday (September 24). Of these, 21 were arrested by NCP leaders and activists.
Police said that during preparations for a sudden procession at noon, leaders and activists of the banned Awami League and its affiliates were preparing to hold a procession. After receiving information, a quick drive was launched and so far more than 40 people have been arrested.
