More than 25 businesses gutted in fire in Noakhali

More than 25 businesses, including a factory, have been gutted in a horrific fire in Senbagh upazila of Noakhali. The fire broke out at around 12:30 am on Saturday (August 10) in the upazila’s Sebarhat Bazar. The fire service said that the fire first broke out in a factory in Sebarhat Bazar. It immediately spread to other nearby businesses. Later, upon receiving information, five units joined the fire control in stages. The army and locals also cooperated. The fire service further said that the fire was brought under control after about three hours of effort. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage will be known after the investigation. Businessmen in Sebarhat Bazar said that several businesses, including a furniture factory, machinery and Thai aluminum shop, were gutted in the fire. They claimed that more than 30 crore taka of damage was caused.
