Combing operation to catch criminals begins: Home Affairs Advisor
A special or combing operation will be conducted at any moment to catch identified criminals and terrorists, Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said. He told reporters after the 11th meeting of the Advisory Council Committee on Law and Order at the conference room of the Home Ministry on Sunday (July 13) afternoon. The Home Affairs Advisor said that law enforcement agencies are regularly conducting operations against all types of criminal activities including murder, theft, robbery, extortion, kidnapping, terrorism, kidnapping, women’s violence, mob violence, drug smuggling. He also said that considering the situation, the government can conduct a special or combing operation to catch identified criminals and terrorists at any time. In this regard, the cooperation of everyone, including the general public, is highly desirable. The government will strictly suppress any activity that disrupts public order and public security. The Home Affairs Advisor said, the incident of the murder of a businessman in Mitford is very sad. So far, 7 people have been arrested in this incident. Steps are being taken to try this murder in a speedy trial tribunal. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury also made it clear that no one will be spared in this murder case due to political or any other identity. Regarding the preparations for the elections, he said, we want to complete our preparations by December.
